Still Relevant
Vintage is truly my thing. I love everything about the sophistication, and timeless elegant elements it holds.
I think in another lifetime, I was here in the 50’s and 60’s era Along with Dorothy Dandridge. I could have partied along side Marylin Monroe, Lauren Bacall, and Betty Grable. I can totally see that!
Ironically one of my all time favorite movies is, “How to Marry a Millionaire” with them three staring in it.
The puff sleeve has certainly resurfaced , and relevant again today!
It’s on the runway!
So, since I love the color green I just had to rock this gem.
Green is the color representing prosperity, and it’s also my birthstone.
How grand is that?
When finding a vintage dress, I recently stated that you can add your own twist and details to transform it into a total “Look”. I’ve incorporated green leather gloves, a green velvet sandal heel, neck jewels, and another jeweled necklace I turned into an hair accessory.
I love how you can get creative with vintage. You can add more vintage details like a vintage hat, belt, gloves, broaches, a vintage hairstyle, etc. You can also tweek it to look more current, and relevant to today. Get creative and have fun with it!
Even the designers are dipping into history, and I’m here for it!
My Motto:
BE FABULOUS! BE GRAND!
